Pretty cool move by the folks at Intel and Venabels Bells, linking up with the Satorialist. I think it’s pretty smart. It’s about tapping into the visual poetry of today. The artists use the computer these days instead of brushes, and the patrons aren’t the Medici family or the church anymore but rather they are big companies like Coke and Intel. I do like the fact they are being authentic, rather than trying to sell us something they are showing us how they are part of the creative process. I think consumers these days turn their brains off the moment we get sold to. The only way to get past that mental barrier is to really be authentic. We can smell an advertisement right away. This basically says to me companies need to position themselves with smart people. Rather than selling to us. They need to show us how they make the creative process better and faster. Also I associate Intel with good taste, good photography, and the creative process now. Empowerment to the creatives. Well done.
